Port Facilities

Our Plant at Paradip is around 8 kilometres from Paradip port which is a major port on East Cost of India. Paradip Port is located in the Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha, at the confluence of the Mahanadi River and the Bay of Bengal. It was commissioned in 1966 and is the first major port on the East Coast established after independence. The port is managed by the Paradip Port Trust (PPT), a statutory body under the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963. Paradip Port has handled over 100 million tonnes of cargo.

Apart from Mormugao Port, one of the key ports the Company has explored facilities at Angre Port, strategically located at Jaigad in Maharashtra. This port is approximately 300 kilometres north of our Goa Plant, providing a convenient and efficient transit route for our cargo. Angre Port is renowned for its cleanliness and state-of-the-art infrastructure, making it an ideal choice for handling RPC, which requires contamination-free conditions. 

The port boasts excellent storage facilities, ensuring that our cargo remains in pristine condition from the moment it arrives until it is dispatched. The infrastructure at Angre Port is designed to accommodate sophisticated cargo like ours, offering robust handling capabilities that align perfectly with our stringent quality standards.

Moreover, Angre Port is privately owned, which allows for streamlined operations and personalized services that cater specifically to our needs. The dedicated team at the port ensures that all procedures are conducted with precision, further safeguarding the integrity of our cargo.

The Company has also developed a need based access to the New Mangalore Port, strategically located approximately 330 kilometres south of our Goa Plant, plays a pivotal role in our logistics and supply chain operations. This port, previously managed by the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT), has now been leased to JSW for operations and maintenance.

Specializing exclusively in the handling of coke and coal, New Mangalore Port is equipped with a fully mechanized handling system. This advanced infrastructure ensures efficient, safe, and contamination-free processing of our cargo. The transition to JSW's management has brought about enhanced operational efficiencies, aligning perfectly with our commitment to maintaining high standards in the transportation and handling of our raw materials.
